| Kate Hunter is the Director of the Book Department and has been collecting and describing books since a young child, encouraged by her bookseller mother, Penny Bannister, whose antiquarian book shop is in Western Australia. Kate's first professional job in bookselling was with Barbara Grigor-Taylor at Cavendish Rare Books, and then at Maggs Bros. Ltd.; since moving to New York in 2004 she has worked as a specialist in the Books and Manuscripts Dept., at Christie's. Kate has an MA in English Language and Literature from Oxford University. | |
